Megan Cedro is a New York based painter and illustrator. She was born in Bartow, Florida and raised in Hunterdon County New Jersey. Megan moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2006 and her work appeared throughout exhibits in Williamsburg, the Lower East Side, and Chelsea neighborhoods. Her inspiration stems from her fashion background and love of nature. Megan's studio is now based in Bedford, New York where she moved in 2017.
To this day, the personal grasp for human identity and self-awareness in a constantly changing and amorphous body is the dominant motif in her work. The ethereal like images are highly expressive, haunting and symbolic.
